We Talk Disco One Day is our exploration in creating a clear macro structure for three micro dances.
Excited to see what the next year brings!
Farouche had the pleasure of conducting three mini workshops with the first year students of the SFU Dance Program.
For the month of September 2017, Farouche was the artist in residence at the Anvil Centre in New Westminster, BC! During our residency we worked on building a reservoir of modular duets using the mediums of movement, lights, and projections.
Farouche is excited to announce that we will be participating in Simon Fraser University's SCA Alumni Dance Lab this year! During the lab we will be reworking and further developing the piece L I L A C, which was originally created in 2015 by Mahaila Patterson-O’Brien, Felicia Lau, Remy Siu, Alex Mah and Jasmine O’Brien.
They may be masked, hidden or exposed by light. They are precise, they rarely devolve into chaos. They never emote. They are a blank canvas of abstract gesture time and space. They are looking for the pleasure in emptiness.
